Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago (May 1999)

Masters of Arts in Teaching from Dominican University (January 2002)

Biographical Information

I am Illinois certified to teach science for grades 6-12. The endorsements on my secondary certificate include teaching the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, botany, general science, anatomy and physiology and zoology. I am also endorsed to teach middle school spanish. My student teaching was done at Reavis High School in Burbank. I have been an 8th grade science teacher at Old Quarry Middle School for seventeen years! I have also taught language arts, social studies and RTI math at Old Quarry, but science is the subject I enjoy teaching the most!

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my three children and family. They keep me busy most of my free time away from work. My hobbies include traveling, hiking, kayaking, shopping and baking.
