Homework

Young minds should be stimulated at home as well as in school.  Therefore, it is my belief homework should be implemented as part of the learning process in order to set children on a successful learning path.  I have faith that homework stimulates young minds and is a powerful way to reach children academically which results in increasing student achievement. Additionally, I believe it develops character traits such as responsibility and independence. Homework also allows parents to become more involved in the schooling process and will provide you the opportunity to communicate your value for education to your child.  Students will be given assignments to reinforce learning on a regular basis.  Differentiated, ongoing homework will include sight word work, reading fluency practice, word building, reading, writing, and math. Basically, students will work on literacy activities daily and math 3 times per week.

Please go back to Mrs. Gray's home page to browse my RESOURCE tab. There you will find a host of  online differentiated reading and math activities. Enjoy!
