Lemont-Bromberek Combined School District 113A leadership heard updates from a recent visit by the South Cook Intermediate Service Center which found that school buildings are in excellent condition and providing a safe and supporting environment for learning.
The report cited that there were no violations found in any of the district’s buildings and that this is the fifth consecutive year that no violations were found. A letter from Health/Life Safety Team Leader Dr. Bob Sabatino directly referenced Director of Operations Pat Crean and his team for their hard work.
“The pride in your facilities, the staff care, and the great work you are doing for the students of your community were clearly evident,” said the letter. “Students and staff have well-maintained, positive environments for learning. Continue whatever you are doing because it is obviously working!”
This recognition comes as SD113A is actively highlighting the work and dedication of different members of the staff through the newly launched Our Purpose. Our People. Awards and Video Series on YouTube. The work of the maintenance and operations team may sometimes get overlooked, but the district is proud to shine the spotlight on those who work so hard to allow the school day to run smoothly.
“Pat Crean and his team continue to go above and beyond every day in their work and it is so great to see them recognized in this way,” said Superintendent Dr. Courtney Orzel. “Teachers and support staff are of course an essential part of our schools, but there are many often unsung heroes behind the scenes bringing their passion and purpose into our work and we are grateful to them.”
