President Obama honors Academic Excellence at River Valley School

President's Academic Award Winners

This year, 57 fifth-grade students from River Valley School received recognition for academic excellence which included a letter of commendation from the President of United States.

The President’s Education Awards Program (PEAP) was founded in 1983 to honor students for their achievement and hard work.   Each year, students from across the country are recognized for their educational excellence and their academic growth.  The award includes a congratulatory letter and certificate signed by the President, the Secretary of Education, and the School Principal.  Students in fifth grade at River Valley School are eligible for consideration.  The students who received this award have demonstrated a history of outstanding classroom performance as well as superior achievement on nationally-normed academic achievement tests.

Congratulations to these young leaders in earning this impressive achievement!
