Honoring Our 2026 Retirees
Lemont-Bromberek School District 113A is proud to honor its staff members who are retiring at the end of the 2025-26 school year. These seven professionals have served our schools for a combined 174 years, shaping who we are and giving so much to our community. Get to know our fantastic 2026 retirees:
Pat Crean
Pat Crean has served SD113A as a Director of Operations for 12 years. His favorite memory was the day he was offered the position, and he hopes “to leave the district in a better place than I found it.”

Barbara Germany
Barbara Germany worked in our district as a Chief School Business Official for 15 years. She shared, “In the long run, it's always about the kids. Everything we do — whether it's financial, instructional, custodial, or administrative — ultimately serves one purpose: supporting and empowering our most precious resource, our children. If I leave behind any legacy, I hope it’s one of unwavering commitment to doing what’s best for students, every single day.”

Laura Hodge
Laura Hodge has been with us for 26 years and works as a third grade teacher at River Valley Elementary School. One of her favorite memories was “a snow day that turned into a teacher playdate: we all took our rolling chairs and made a congo line going down the ramp. I think we were just as excited as the students for a snow day.” Laura shared that she hopes she has fostered a love of learning along with critical thinking skills in her students to last them a lifetime.

Kris Jensen
Kris Jensen has taught in SD113A as an English Language Arts teacher at Old Quarry Middle School for 28 years. She hopes that her students have felt seen and heard, and shared, “I have had the privilege to work with many great teachers and administrators who I learned so much from. Many of these people have become not only my friends, but family. I will treasure the memories and the friendships from SD113A.”

Cathy Anderson, Old Quarry Music Teacher, 34 years
Cathy Anderson has brought music to SD113A ears at Old Quarry Middle School as a music teacher for the past 34 years. Her favorite memories include laughing with colleagues, and she hopes people will remember her as helpful and flexible. “I hope that this inspires others to try to give each other the benefit of the doubt when there are bumps in the road.”

Gina Hermosillo
Gina Hermosillo has served as a custodian at Old Quarry Middle School for 30 years. She hopes she is remembered for being dedicated, having a strong work ethic, and always having a positive attitude.

Mark Brylewski, Custodian (River Valley), 29 years
Mark Brylewski served as a custodian at River Valley Elementary School for 29 years. Mark enjoyed his time with his colleagues and will remember working alongside the teachers and principals at River Valley and Oakwood.
