Some Changes Made In O.Q.'s Discipline Policy

SOME CHANGES IN DISCIPLINE!!!

As promised, we have revisited and reviewed our discipline policy and will continue to do so throughout the school year. We have made some changes due to concerns expressed by our parents. Those changes are:

Students may go to the bathroom during lunch without having without using one of their 15 passes. They must sign out with a lunch supervisor and sign back in. This will help us keep track of who is out and at what times.

Students all received new I.D. cards last week. The new I.D. cards have 15 squares on the back of them. Teachers no longer “punch” their I.D. with a star punch, but simply initial the back of their card. This provides more confidentiality for the students and the squares are not visible for anyone to see. If a student loses their I.D. they are given a temporary I.D. All teachers record the initials in the computer now, so if a student loses their I.D., the record is available on the computer.
