Positive Behavior System Information
Old Quarry and the Four Rs
By Kleehammer, Shirley
Hello and welcome to the Old Quarry Middle School web site. Our 2011-2012 school year has gotten off to a great start! The students are adjusting well after their summer break and are back in school mode.
As part of the positive behavior system at Old Quarry, the staff is emphasizing the Four Rs as a way for all students to be successful in school and in life. The Four R's consist of Respect for Others, Respect for Learning, Respect for Environment and Property, and Respect for Self. Read all of the behavior expectations for the Four R's in the Student Directives handbook or in the Information section of our web page.
8th Grade Information:
I would like to remind all 8th grade parents about the point system that will determine a student's eligibility for the year-end 8th grade activities.
All 8th graders are given a bank of 35 points at the beginning of the school year. Points are lost when a student is written up for behavior issues that are handled in the main office by an administrator. Certain consequences result in a pre-determined loss of points.
