All I Really Need To Know I Learned In Kindergarten

On-Line Resources

You may have heard or read the quote "All I really need to know I learned  in Kindergarten." Kindergarten is a very important and exciting place, full of things to learn that will remain with each of us for a lifetime. Listening, sharing, turn taking, waiting patiently - - these are a few of the social skills that are developed and fine-tuned over the course of the year. Emotionally, each child matures as well, as he/she becomes more independent and learns to spend more time away from home. Emphasis is placed on teaching children to work cooperatively and to show consideration for others. Time is given to help children develop skills and attitudes which will allow them to have a sense of worth for themselves and others. These social and emotional skills are integrated into our academic curriculum of reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and health. Kindergarten should be the most wonderful year a child can have. I look forward to working with my students and parents to make it so.
