                                             On Behalf of the Board of Education and Our Staff, Welcome to District 113A!

We are very proud of our elementary school district that serves approximately 2300 students from the communities of Lemont, Woodridge, Darien and Downers Grove in both Cook and DuPage Counties here in the Chicago land area.  Students who attend our three buildings receive a quality education and have a history of high academic achievement and represent their communities in a multitude of activities.  The three schools that serve those students and the community are as follows:

District 113A believes in a collaborative community, which employs best practices, involves parents, reaches out to the communities it serves and relies on high quality leadership teams to offer successful experiences to our students.  Our Board of Education and the school community are committed to this mission:

District 113A’s instructional program supports its mission through a curriculum that focuses on skill development in the core academic areas of reading/language arts, math, science, and social studies.  The students are also provided curricular opportunities that develop students’ skills in writing, technology, social and emotional learning and it offers music, fine arts, physical education/health as well as opportunities for after school programming through the Warrior Booster Club and Lemont Band Boosters.  District 113A differentiates instruction to meet the needs of individuals and provides stimulating and challenging activities at all grade levels.  Each school also utilizes Response to Intervention (RtI) plans that ensures the academic support students need through researched based teaching strategies and materials.  For a full complement of our curriculum please visit our web page at www.sd113a.org.  Detailed curriculum guides for all programs can be found there for your reading pleasure.
