Seeking Applicants for a

Vacancy on the

Board of Education

The Board of Education is accepting applications to fill a vacancy that will occur on March 1, 2010, with a term of office to expire in April, 2011.

A School Board Member must be:

1. A United States citizen;

2. At least 18 years of age;

3. A resident of Illinois and District 113A for at least 1 year;

4. A registered voter; and

5. Neither a school trustee nor a school treasurer.

Interested parties should send a letter of application and current resume to the Board of Education. Letters should include the following information: 1) Reasons for interest in serving on the Board of Education; and 2) Background and experiences that make the applicant a good candidate for being a School Board Member. Letters of application and resumes will be accepted through March 12, 2010. The Board of Education may conduct interviews with prospective candidates after reviewing application letters and resumes of those interested.
