Central School 5th Graders Visit Old Quarry

Students get their first glimpse of their new school

On the morning of April 15th, 5th grade students were invited to visit Old Quarry Middle School. While there, students were given an overview of the many changes they will experience when they enter middle school next year.

Old Quarry Principal Dawn Pechukas along with a team of 6th grade teachers and students provided information and answered questions for the fifth graders, trying to ease their fears about the big change. They were introduced to their counselor, Ms. Samantha Milazzo, who will follow them through their years at Old Quarry, along with the many teachers they may have next year. Student lead tours were also provided by sixth grade students so that fifth graders could get a better look at the layout of the school. The fifth grade students seemed eager to learn about all that Old Quarry has to offer.
